Vance Milcetich-Tano is an experienced professional with a diverse background in social work and retail management. Helping Hands Hawai‘i administers numerous programs that benefit the community, including the Bilingual Access Line, Emergency Assistance Program, SNAP Outreach, Community Clearinghouse, Ready to Learn, Adopt A Family and Representative Payee Services. These programs offers a full continuum of care for clients and represent distinct areas of need. They work in concert to help all of Hawai‘i realize its fullest potential in a rapidly evolving, increasingly global society. With a mission to provide critical social services to improve people's quality of life and empower them on their path to a better tomorrow. Helping Hands Hawai‘i provides a vital lifeline for the local community – helping its members to help one another. The agency began as the Honolulu Council of Social Agencies’ Volunteer Placement Bureau in 1941 and incorporated as Helping Hands Hawaii in 1974.
