Nina Kolbjornsen's work experience begins in 2002 as a Programme Officer for UNICEF. Nina later worked as a Programme Officer in nutrition for the World Food Programme from 2003 to 2007. In 2008, they became the Head of International Programmes for UNICEF Norway and also worked as a Researcher at the University College of Akershus. From 2012 to 2013, they served as a Senior Advocacy Advisor for Save the Children Norway. Nina then joined Bærum Municipality as a Special Advisor on Children's rights and later became a Folkehelsekoordinator/Senior Advisor on public health. In 2021, they began their current role as Head of Programme for public health interventions in Norwegian municipalities at Helsedirektoratet.
Nina Kolbjornsen completed their education in a chronological order. From 1997 to 2000, they attended the University of Southampton, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Nutritional Sciences. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Dietetics and Public health nutrition.
