James Woeppel

James Woeppel is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in business and maritime law. Currently serving as Of Counsel at Helsell Fetterman LLP since August 2021, Woeppel previously founded Woeppel Law PLLC, focusing on small and medium businesses and the fishing industry from February 2015 to September 2021. As Managing Partner at Aiken, St.Louis & Siljeg, PS from 1984 to 2015, Woeppel led a firm dedicated to providing quality legal services in similar fields. Woeppel's maritime expertise is complemented by experience as CEO of a shipyard and in the US Coast Guard, where roles included Legal Officer and Operations Officer. Woeppel holds a JD from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Science from the US Coast Guard Academy.
