Heini Maksimainen

Heini Maksimainen is an accomplished subeditor at Helsingin Sanomat's lifestyle section since August 2019, bringing a wealth of experience from various roles in journalism. Prior to this position, Maksimainen worked as a freelance journalist, contributing to several prominent Finnish publications and authored the book "Vauvattomuusbuumi," published in March 2019. Additional editorial experiences include positions at A-lehdet Oy, where ideas for articles were generated and stories were edited, and earlier roles that include being a health journalist at Sanoma Magazines and a part-time news journalist at Aamulehti. Education includes a Journalism Fellowship at the University of Oxford and a Master's degree in Social Sciences with a focus on Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Tampere.
