Johanna Junttila is an accomplished science writer with extensive experience in journalism and education. Currently serving as a Science Writer for Helsingin Sanomat since November 2021, Johanna is responsible for writing and editing science stories for the magazine Tiede Luonto and online science news. Previously, a Freelance Journalist for Mediakunta from September 2017 to November 2021, Johanna contributed articles on scientific topics to various media outlets, including Helsingin Sanomat and Tiede. With a robust background as a Journalism Teacher at Voionmaan koulutuskeskus for over a decade, Johanna developed and organized curriculum for journalism training. Earlier roles include writing for science and financial sections at several publications, as well as work as a Broadcast Journalist in regional media. Johanna holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Tampere and furthered professional education through a program in Professional Teacher Education.
