Saara Rimpelä

Saara Rimpelä has a diverse work experience spanning across different industries. Saara is currently the Head of Unit | Markets at HSL Helsingin seudun liikenne since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Finnair for a significant period, where they held various roles. Saara was the Head of Team Europe Pricing and Demand | Senior Manager | Revenue Management from 2019 to 2021, responsible for maximizing revenue in Europe and Atlantic network traffic. Saara also served as a Business Manager | Revenue Management & Pricing from 2009 to 2019, focusing on pricing strategies and sales target achievement. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Network Analyst | Network Planning & Resource Management, evaluating network opportunities and negotiating partnerships. Saara'sfirst role at Finnair was in customer service as Cabin Crew | Flight Operations from 1998 to 2005. Before joining Finnair, they were a Product Manager | Marketing | Campaign Planning at Sonera from 1995 to 1997, where they had responsibilities related to mobile phone service products and patents.

Saara Rimpelä has a diverse education history. Saara obtained a Master of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration, specializing in Commercial Law, Management & Organizations, and Economics, from the University of Vaasa. Additionally, they earned a Master of Arts degree in Art History from the University of Helsinki. Currently, Saara is pursuing a degree in Sustainability Studies with a focus on Business at Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development. In 2019, they also pursued an Executive MBA from Hanken & SSE Executive Education.
