Florian Haefliger

Florian Haefliger is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as a Senior First Officer at Helvetic Airways since December 2015, with a focus on the Embraer E190/E290/E295 and holding an unfrozen ATPL licence with over 2000 flight hours. In addition to a piloting role, Florian also works as a Digital Workplace Engineer, overseeing IT administration for electronic flight bags and other mobile devices. Florian's aviation career began as an ab initio First Officer on a Fokker 100. Concurrently, Florian holds the position of Military Intelligence Officer in the Swiss Armed Forces at the rank of captain. Prior experience includes working as an IT Technician and Supporter at ONiKO AG from January 2012 to December 2015. Florian Haefliger earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Project Management from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland and completed an Airline Transport Pilot Licence at Horizon Swiss Flight Academy.
