Andreas Schmid

Andreas Schmid is an entrepreneur and has been President and co-owner of Helvetica Capital AG since 2017.

In 2008 Andreas Schmid was elected to the board of directors of Steiner AG and two years later to the board of directors of Wirz Partner Holding AG, where he took over the chairmanship in 2017. He has been Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Avenir Suisse since 2014 and has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Radisson Hotel Group since 2017. Since 2000 he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Flughafen Zürich AG.

Prior to that, Andreas Schmid was Executive President and co-owner of Oettinger Davidoff AG, President of Gategroup Holding AG, Symrise AG, Kuoni Reisen Holding AG and Barry Callebaut AG, of which he was Vice President until 2014 and then a member of the Board of Directors until 2017 .

Andreas Schmid holds a degree in law from the University of Zurich, where he also studied business administration.
