Sara Matar

Sara Matar is a highly accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in oncology. Currently serving as the Chair for Asante RRMC Cancer Committee since August 2021, and as a Medical Oncologist at Hematology Oncology Associates, P.C. since July 2020, Sara has a robust clinical background. Prior experience includes a Hematology Oncology Fellowship and Internal Medicine Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina from July 2014 to July 2020. Additionally, Sara completed a Preliminary Resident Doctor program at the American University of Beirut Medical Center and participated in externships in gastroenterology and hematology oncology. Research experience includes work at Harvard Medical School, focusing on congenital heart disease. Sara holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the American University of Beirut and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 2017.
