Alireza Nasiri Avanaki

Alireza Nasiri Avanaki serves as Chief Scientist in algorithms at Hemex Health, Inc. since May 2020. Previous experience includes a role as Senior Visual Data Scientist at Barco from September 2011 to May 2020, where Alireza played a key role in developing Coronis Uniti and Barco Demetra, along with creating anthropomorphic virtual observers for mammograms and digital breast tomosynthesis. Prior to that, Alireza worked as a System Engineer at VisImage Systems from January 2010 to September 2011, focusing on precision camera calibration and robust detection of human body landmarks. Alireza holds a PhD in Computer Vision from The University of British Columbia, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Signal Processing, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on electronics, both from Sharif University of Technology, in addition to a diploma in Math and Physics from Allameh Helli.
