Richard Kouwenhoven

President & CEO at Hemlock Printers

Serving as Hemlock’s President since 2012 and Chief Executive Officer in 2021, Richard oversees the strategic direction and growth of Hemlock and its subsidiary organizations. Obtaining his Bachelor of Technology Degree from Ryerson’s Graphic Communication Management program in 1996, Richard has 30+ years of hands-on print industry experience in a number of roles, from production, to department leadership and for the past 15 years as a Senior Executive within the organization. A second-generation family member in the business, Richard is guided by the values and principles that are the foundation of Hemlock’s early success. This means supporting the success of Hemlock Staff and Customers alike, applying continuous innovation throughout the business, and more broadly, demonstrating that business can be a meaningful force for positive change in society.
