Vanessa Hilton

Manager, Human Resources at Hemlock Printers

With roots in the print industry, Vanessa started her career at Hemlock in the 80’s and brings with her a unique understanding of the culture and HR needs at Hemlock.

Starting as a part-time bindery assistant, Vanessa gained experience in many areas at Hemlock—Production, Accounting, Customer Service, Estimating and Planning—and in 2017, Vanessa accepted the position Payroll and Benefits Administrator. It was this position where she started to take on more HR responsibilities, eventually becoming the HR and Payroll Administrator. and in 2022, she joined the Leadership Team as Manager, Human Resources. With this move to Payroll and Human Resources, Vanessa has completed the Canadian PCP Program and earned her HR Management Certificate from BCIT.

Hemlock’s dedication to craft, continuous innovation, teamwork and sustainable practices are woven into human resources initiatives. With her education and experience at Hemlock, Vanessa is excited to work in partnership with Leadership, Managers and their teams, and with individual employees to provide programs and services that foster a positive work environment.
