Mert Karanfil

Mert Karanfil is an accomplished environmental professional with a focus on Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and remediation planning at Stantec since January 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Junior Geologist at Ausenco from November 2020 to December 2022, where Mert contributed to multi-disciplinary projects by preparing proposals, budgets, and technical reports. Additionally, Mert served as a Teaching Assistant at Queen's University from September 2018 to November 2020, delivering lectures on "Engineering Geology and the Biosphere" to undergraduate students. Mert's educational background includes pursuing an MBA in Finance at Carleton University's Sprott School of Business and holding a Master of Applied Science in Geological Sciences from Queen's University, complemented by studies at ILAC and Istanbul University.
