Amanda Lugo is an experienced Associate R&D Engineer at HemoSonics, LLC, contributing to the development of the Quantra Hemostasis Analyzer since June 2022. Prior experience includes working as a Heat and Mass Transfer Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech, internships and co-op positions at Footlevelers, where Amanda focused on 3D Smart Scanner prototype processes and CAD design, and teaching roles at the John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, facilitating physics and engineering education for gifted students. Amanda's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech. Additionally, early exposure to engineering was gained through an engineering assistant role at MBP and job shadowing at Cisco.
