Arun Shanmuganathan

Arun Shanmuganathan is the Co-Founder at Hence Technologies. Arun was previously the Computer Science Faculty at The African Leadership University from August 2019 to December 2020. Prior to that, they were with Citadel Securities as an Index Options Quant Trader from October 2018 to July 2019, and Participatory City Foundation as a Trustee from March 2018 to May 2019. Arun also worked as a Cash Equities CRB Quant Trader at UBS from August 2017 to October 2018, and as the Director/Founder of Cross-Continental Collaborative from December 2016 to January 2018. Before that, they were the Education Project Director at Cambridge Development Initiative from October 2015 to September 2016, and the CEO/Founder of Cambridge NewsHub from September 2015 to July 2016. Arun started their career as an Analytics Intern at Datamine Limited - High End Data Analytics from August 2013 to September 2013, and then as a Research Assistant at University of Waterloo from April 2013 to August 2013.

Arun Shanmuganathan's educational career includes a Master of Science in Applied Statistics & Machine Learning from the University of Oxford, a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Mathematics (BMath) from the University of Waterloo. Arun also has an IB Diploma from Auckland International College and a certification from CFA Institute in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1.
