It is our Mission to be the premier provider  of accessible, cost effective, and quality behavioral healthcare services to the people of South Florida, in order to promote their  mental health and well-being.

Established in 1953, Henderson Behavioral Health (HBH or Henderson) provides healthcare, housing, and hope for over 30,000 persons of all ages with behavioral health conditions in Florida each year. Through care, supported employment, advocacy, and housing, Henderson assists and inspires people with mental illnesses and substance use disorders to reclaim their lives.

Henderson Behavioral Health does not discriminate in the provision of services based on an individual’s:
• Inability to pay;
• Medicare, Medicaid, or Children’s Health Insurance Program coverage; or
• Race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
 
(i) No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay, and (ii) There is a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income.

The Mental Health and Counseling team at Henderson Behavioral Health provides comprehensive mental health services, including crisis intervention, individual and family counseling, case management, and psychosocial rehabilitation. The team is dedicated to supporting individuals and families in South Florida by offering tailored care plans that promote mental health recovery and well-being, regardless of financial ability. Members collaborate across various roles, such as case managers, clinicians, therapists, and social workers, to deliver accessible, high-quality, and holistic behavioral healthcare.
