Philipp Heuser

Philipp Heuser is a Senior Associate at Hengeler Mueller since November 2023, previously holding the same position at Hogan Lovells from September 2018 to October 2023, where Philipp was involved in advising IBM on its significant US$ 34 billion acquisition of Red Hat, awarded “Merger Control Matter of the Year” by GCR. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP from September 2016 to September 2018, contributing to the merger of Germany's last two major department store chains, and at Norton Rose Fulbright from April 2013 to August 2016, assisting easyJet with a State aid investigation by the European Commission. Philipp holds a PhD in European Law from The University of Bonn and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in European Law from King's College London.
