Nick Simpson

Chief Medical Director at Hennepin EMS

Nick Simpson's work experience includes positions at several healthcare organizations. Nick started in 2011 as a Resident Emergency Medicine Physician at Hennepin County Medical Center, where they later became the Chief Resident. In 2014, they served as an EMS Fellow at the same institution. In 2015, they joined North Memorial Health Care as an Emergency Physician. In 2017, they began working at Hennepin Healthcare as an Emergency Physician and held various roles, including Associate Medical Director, ECMO Program and Medical Director, Paramedic Program. Nick also served as the Program Director for the Hennepin EMS Fellowship. In 2020, they became the Chief Medical Director of Hennepin EMS. In the same year, they also started working at Hennepin Healthcare as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Minnesota.

Nick Simpson completed their education in the field of medicine. Nick attended James Madison University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After that, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Virginia from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Nick obtained certifications in Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Medicine from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in December 2015 and November 2015, respectively.
