Richard L. Barger

Richard L. Barger, Jr., M.D., RMSK, serves as a Musculoskeletal Radiologist and the Medical Director and Chief Radiologist at University Hospitals since July 2012. In addition to their leadership roles, Richard holds positions as Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at Case Western Reserve University and Associate Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology, alongside serving as Associate Director of Radiology Information Technology. Richard also contributes to academic education as a Clinical Adjunct Professor of Radiology at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and Lake Erie College. Richard's extensive training includes a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, a Diagnostic Radiology residency at William Beaumont Hospital, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Toledo College of Medicine. Prior academic achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the College of Wooster and a high school diploma with honors from Lorain Southview High School.
