Laurie Willhite

Laurie Willhite is a seasoned Medication Safety Officer at Hennepin Healthcare since 2011, where responsibility includes overseeing medication error reporting and evaluation while fostering a safety-centric culture. Willhite also serves as the Co-Medical Director of the Interventional Pain Clinic, coordinating care alongside a physician partner, and previously provided medication therapy management for chronic pain patients. Additionally, Willhite holds the position of Chair of the Board of Directors at the Steve Rummler HOPE Network, focusing on addiction awareness and naloxone distribution. Prior experience includes roles as a pharmacist with the Minnesota Poison Control System and Fairview Health Services, alongside a research fellowship in geriatric pharmacotherapy at the University of Minnesota. Willhite earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Iowa.
