Jennifer Emerson

Jennifer Emerson is a distinguished legal professional currently serving as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Hennessy Advisors, Inc. and Hennessy Funds, respectively, since June 2013. With expertise in securities, governance, and internal controls, Jennifer also co-founded ITSUIC Music LLC, where responsibilities include serving as Executive Producer and CEO. Jennifer holds leadership roles within the Mother Attorney Mentoring Association (MAMAs Austin) as Treasurer and Director, and has previously practiced law at top firms including Carlson Capital, L.P., Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, and Foley & Lardner LLP. Academically, Jennifer earned a Doctor of Law degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.
