Mike Hasley

Mike Hasley has extensive work experience in the education field. Mike started their career as a Social Studies Teacher at King William County Public Schools from 1997 to 2001. Following that, they worked as an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher at Henrico County Public Schools, where they helped teachers integrate technology into their lessons and led cohorts, staff development, and workshops from 2005 to 2009. Mike then became a Secondary Social Studies Specialist at Henrico County Public Schools, where they developed curriculum, assessments, and led teachers from 2009 to 2020. Additionally, they served as an Associate Principal at Hungary Creek Middle School, supervising English and Social Studies and handling responsibilities such as school safety, discipline, and analyzing data from 2020 to the present. In 2013, they worked as a District Director at AVID Center, and from 2006 to 2008, they taught as an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, focusing on integrating technology in the classroom. Throughout their career, Mike Hasley has demonstrated a passion for education and a strong commitment to enhancing the learning experience for students and supporting fellow educators.

Mike Hasley has a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, which they obtained in 1988. Mike also holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Virginia Commonwealth University, earned between 1990 and 1994. Additionally, they earned a Post Masters Certificate in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University between 2003 and 2005. In the same timeframe, they also obtained an M.T in Secondary Social Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University, earned between 1990 and 1994. Before their time at Virginia Commonwealth University, they attended J Sargeant Reynolds Community College from 1988 to 1990, where they did not obtain a degree.
