Austin Plann Curley

Book Conservator at The Huntington

Austin Plann Curley is an experienced Book Conservator currently employed at The Huntington since January 2019. Prior to this role, Austin served as a Book Conservator at Folger Shakespeare Library from September 2014 to December 2018, where responsibilities also included Digitization/Exhibition Project Conservator and Graduate Intern in Book Conservation. Additional experience includes internships in conservation at The Walters Art Museum, Trinity College Dublin, Weissman Preservation Center, and a fellowship at Huntington Library. Austin holds a Master of Science in Art Conservation from the University of Delaware, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Preservation for Conservators from Simmons University, and has completed a Certificate in Book and Paper Conservation from Istituto Per l’Arte e il Restauro Palazzo Spinelli. An early educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine/Studio Arts, Printmaking from Cornish College of the Arts.
