Diva Zumaya, Ph.D., currently serves as the Assistant Curator for European Painting and Sculpture at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) since September 2018, after holding the position of Annenberg Curatorial Fellow. Previous experience includes roles as a Curatorial Assistant at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art from January 2017 to August 2018 and as Adjunct Assistant Curator at the Art, Design & Architecture Museum at UC Santa Barbara from April 2014 to January 2018. Additionally, Diva Zumaya's academic involvement at UC Santa Barbara spanned from September 2011 to March 2017, encompassing positions as Teaching Assistant, Graduate Teaching Associate, and Instructor in the History of Art and Architecture Outreach Program. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Art History and a Master of Arts in Art History from UC Santa Barbara, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and History from Mills College.
