Madelyn van Tassel

Madelyn Van Tassel serves as System Vice President of the Cancer Service Line at Henry Ford Health, bringing over a decade of leadership experience in cancer care management. Since joining the organization in July 2010, Madelyn has held several key positions, including Interim System Vice President and Executive Director of the Henry Ford Cancer Institute, as well as Director of Surgical Oncology Specialties. In these roles, Madelyn has played a pivotal role in enhancing patient care quality and operational efficiency, leading initiatives to align over 60 surgeons with shared goals and developing the Henry Ford Cancer Institute Care Pathways to transform cancer care delivery. Madelyn's earlier experience includes leadership in the Department of Neurosurgery and involvement in strategic planning and resource acquisition at Henry Ford Medical Group. Academic qualifications include a Master of Health Services Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, both obtained from the University of Michigan.
