Mateo Alzate-Aguirre

Mateo Alzate-Aguirre, M.D., is an Internal Medicine Resident at Henry Ford Health, a position held since July 2023. Previously, Mateo served as Vice President and Treasurer for the Mayo Research Fellow Association at the Mayo Clinic from June 2022 to June 2023 and worked as a Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic Rochester during the same time frame. Early research experience includes a Research Internship at the University of Bonn in late 2018 and a Sub-internship at UT Health San Antonio in 2017. Mateo obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Universidad CES, completing studies in 2018.
