Alexandra Deutsch currently serves as the John L. and Marjorie P. McGraw Director of Collections and Director of Museum Engagement at Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library since July 2019. Prior to this role, Alexandra held several positions at the Maryland Historical Society from October 2008 to July 2019, including Vice President of Collections and Interpretation and Chief Curator. Earlier experience includes curatorial roles at Historic Annapolis Foundation and Chapman Historical Museum, where oversight included significant collections and exhibitions. Alexandra began their career in the museum field as a Curatorial Assistant at Bennington Museum and completed fellowships at Victorian Society and Winterthur Museum. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Early American Material Culture from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor's degree in English and Art History from Vassar College.
