Henry Riley
Iain Mullen has a diverse range of work experience in the construction and project management sectors. Iain began their career at Gentoo Construction, where they worked as a Trainee Building Surveyor and later became an Architectural Technician and Building Surveyor. During their time at Gentoo, they administered and led the design of multiple multi-million pound housing refurbishment projects to meet government standards.
After their tenure at Gentoo, Mullen joined The Gateshead Housing Company as a Quantity Surveyor and Contract Administrator. Iain was involved in various social housing new build developments, including an extra care housing scheme, a social housing redevelopment project, and other new build housing schemes.
Mullen then worked at Gateshead Council as a Project Manager, overseeing the delivery of major construction contracts and managing large-scale projects. Iain later returned to The Gateshead Housing Company as a Contract Administrator/Quantity Surveyor, where they served as the client agent for new build housing schemes.
Following their time at The Gateshead Housing Company, Mullen worked as a Design Coordinator at Galliford Try, a Design Manager at TOLENT LIVING LIMITED, and a Senior Design Coordinator and Design Manager at Vistry Partnerships.
Most recently, Mullen has taken on the role of Senior Project Manager and Associate Director (Project Management) at Henry Riley, where they are involved in project management and leadership.

Iain then pursued their A Levels in Law, Maths, and General Studies from 1997 to 1999 at the same institution. Lastly, they attended the University of Northumbria at Newcastle from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a BSc (HONS) in Architectural Technology.
