Stephen Tongue

Stephen Tongue is an accomplished charity director with extensive experience in fundraising and community support roles. Currently, as Charity Director at Henshaws since September 2019, Stephen provides strategic leadership for the Sight Loss Support and Fundraising teams, overseeing service delivery and income generation for the visually impaired community. Previously, Stephen served in various fundraising roles at the British Red Cross from July 2006 to September 2019, culminating as Head of Community, Events, and Legacy Fundraising, managing a team of 60 employees and engaging with a wide network of stakeholders. Early career experience includes multiple roles at Marie Curie UK from July 2001 to July 2006, focusing on community fundraising. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Edge Hill University and completed secondary education at Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School.
