Christian Schmidt

Christian Schmidt serves as the Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Corporate Development and M&A at HENSOLDT since September 2018, also previously holding the title of Head of M&A. Prior to HENSOLDT, Christian was CFO of the 7Life and 7Wellbeing clusters and Executive Director of M&A at ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE from July 2016 to June 2018. Christian’s experience includes serving as Managing Partner at Clearwater International Corporate Finance in Germany for a brief period in early 2016 and Head of Corporate Finance/M&A for SEB from September 2011 to December 2015. Earlier roles included Vice President at Greenhill & Co. from July 2005 to August 2011 and Associate at @VISORY partners from November 2001 to June 2005. Christian holds a Dipl.-Kaufmann degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Bayreuth and an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of Delaware.
