Mike Goetz

Mike Goetz is a seasoned professional in the field of chemistry and natural products, currently serving as a Senior Advisor at BARUCH S BLUMBERG INSTITUTE since March 2017. In addition, Mike holds the position of Director at the BSBI Natural Products Discovery Institute, which focuses on utilizing a diverse collection of natural products for drug discovery through various collaborations. Prior to these roles, Mike worked as a consultant and Area Head in Chemistry at Fundacion MEDINA from 2009 to 2014, and had a distinguished career at Merck & Co. as Director of Natural Products Chemistry from 1980 to 2008. Mike's academic background includes a postdoctoral degree in Chemistry from Cornell University and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Université de Neuchâtel.
