Su Wang

Dr. Su Wang is the current director at the Hepatitis B Foundation. Prior to this, they served as the assistant director of medical affairs at Charles B. Wang Community Health Center from October 2006 to July 2013. In this role, they were responsible for spearheading innovative care strategies, leading the creation of the Hepatitis B Moms Program, and coordinating care for pregnant HBV mothers and their infants. Su also oversaw the center's hepatitis B activities, including clinical care, community outreach and screening, and research.

In July 2004, Dr. Wang began their career as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In this role, they were responsible for investigating disease outbreaks, developing prevention strategies, and providing public health guidance. Su also worked with state and local health departments to implement disease control programs.

Dr. Wang has a long history of working to improve public health, both in their native China and in the United States. Su is a passionate advocate for hepatitis B prevention and care, and their work has helped countless people affected by this disease.

After completing their undergraduate studies at the University of Miami, Dr. Su Wang attended medical school at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. Su then went on to complete a Master of Public Health degree at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health with a focus in maternal and child health.
