Gorka Plata Redondo

Gorka Plata Redondo is a Mechanical Design Engineer at Hephae Energy Technology since September 2023, previously serving as a Lecturer and Researcher at Mondragon Unibertsitatea from September 2013 to September 2023. Gorka's research expertise includes project writing, consortium creation, and project monitoring on local, national, and international levels. As a PhD candidate, Gorka focused on semi-solid forging of steels, exploring material behavior and industrialization. Key skills encompass mold design for Near Solidus Forming, thermomechanical characterization of iron alloys, development of experimental mathematical models for material flow simulation, and optimization of NSF processes. Gorka holds a Doctorate in Industrial Engineering, a Master’s in Technological Innovation in Casting, a Master's in Industrial Engineering focusing on manufacturing processes and materials, and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, all obtained from Mondragon Unibertsitatea.
