Aurora Diamante

Research Scientist at Heptares Therapeutics

Aurora Diamante has a diverse work experience background. Aurora started their career as an Amgen Summer Scholar at the Karolinska Institutet in 2012, where they conducted an experimental project on the pneumococcal serine-rich repeat protein. In 2014, they participated in the IMB International Summer School, working on an experimental project on alternative splicing.

In 2015, Aurora worked as an Erasmus Plus Student at the University of Cambridge, where they conducted a structural and functional analysis of the Drosophila melanogaster Nucleosome Remodeling and Deacetylase complex. The following year, they undertook a Singapore International Pre-Graduate Award at A*STAR, Singapore, focusing on the structural analysis of thermal vent worms proteins through X-ray crystallography.

From 2017 to 2018, Aurora worked as an Internal Analyst at Chalante. In 2019, they interned at Cambridge Cancer Genomics as a Business Development Intern, where they helped optimize marketing strategies and identify potential customers.

In 2021, Aurora joined Sosei Heptares as a Research Scientist, marking their current position.

Aurora Diamante's education history begins in 2010 when they earned their Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the Università degli Studi di Udine. Aurora then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Molecular and Industrial Biotechnology from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, completing their studies in 2015. In 2016, they joined the University of Cambridge to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmacology, which they successfully completed in 2020.
