Marcus Messenger

Marcus Messenger has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Marcus is currently the Head of Business Development at Sosei Heptares, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, Marcus served as the Vice President of Business Development at Sosei Heptares from August 2020 to March 2023.

Before joining Sosei Heptares, Marcus worked at Teva Pharmaceuticals where they held various positions in business development. Marcus was the Senior Director of Global Business Development, Specialty Medicine from February 2019 to August 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director and Head of European Business Development, Specialty Medicine from September 2016 to January 2019, and as the Director of European Business Development from October 2013 to August 2016.

Marcus also has previous experience at Proximagen Group plc, where they worked as a Senior Business Development Manager from 2009 to 2013. Marcus started their career at Proximagen Group plc as a Senior Scientist from 2006 to 2008. Before joining Proximagen Group, Marcus worked at Eli Lilly & Co. Ltd as a Research Scientist from 2003 to 2006, and at the Medical Research Council as a Research Associate from 2002 to 2003.

Marcus Messenger has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the University of Nottingham. Marcus also holds a Ph.D. degree from King's College London. No specific field of study or dates of attendance are provided for either institution.
