Rie Suzuki

Senior Director Translational Sciences at Heptares Therapeutics

Rie Suzuki has extensive experience in translational sciences, with a focus on drug development. Rie is currently working at Sosei Heptares as the Senior Director of Translational Sciences, a role they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they were the Director of Translational Sciences at Sosei Heptares from January 2019. Before joining Sosei Heptares, Rie served as the Associate Director of Translational Sciences at Heptares from June 2016. Rie also worked at Pfizer Neusentis as a Senior Principal Scientist starting from March 2006. Rie held the same position at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals from March 2006 to June 2016. Rie began their career at UCL as a Wellcome Trust Postdoctoral Research fellow from February 2000 to February 2006.

Rie Suzuki began their education at Runnymede College in Madrid, Spain, where they attended from 1989 to 1993. However, the specific degree and field of study during this time are not provided. Following their time at Runnymede College, Rie Suzuki pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Pharmacology at UCL, beginning in 1993 and completing their degree in 1996. Rie continued their academic journey at UCL, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuropharmacology of Pain from 1996 to 2000.
