Susan H.

Susan H. has extensive work experience in the field of translational sciences and pharmacology. Susan is currently working at Scholar Rock as the Senior Director of Translational Sciences since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Syros Pharmaceuticals as the Director of Translational Medicine from June 2020 to January 2023. Before that, they were an Associate Director of Pharmacology at Aldeyra Therapeutics from September 2019 to June 2020. Susan also gained valuable experience as an Associate Director of Pharmacology at Acucela Inc. from February 2008 to September 2019. Susan started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Washington from July 2004 to January 2008. Susan has demonstrated expertise in designing, managing, analyzing, and interpreting pharmacology studies. Susan has also presented study plans and results to team and senior management, proposed new research ideas, and collaborated with project teams. Susan's experience includes leading programs, mentoring and developing teams, evaluating research opportunities, overseeing experiments, and communicating results across the company. Susan has been involved in patent applications, clinical protocols, and has contributed to the development of intellectual property.

Susan H. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at The College of New Jersey from 1994 to 1998. Susan then pursued further education at UMass Chan Medical School, where they obtained their PhD in Biomedical Sciences from 1998 to 2004.
