Sirsendu Bhowmick

Sirsendu Bhowmick, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Technical Support Scientist at Abbott since June 2021, contributing to clinical chemistry product development and troubleshooting investigations. Bhowmick holds additional roles as an Expert Evaluator for the European Commission and as a Consultant for Hera Health Solutions, while previously leading research at CURAM Centre for Research in Medical Devices. Bhowmick's research achievements include developing innovative scaffolds for wound healing, securing significant research funding, and contributing to the advancement of biomedical engineering technologies through various postdoctoral and doctoral positions across prestigious institutions. Bhowmick earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, complemented by a Master of Technology in Bioelectronics and a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology.
