Kim Ashley-Smith has extensive work experience in office operations, facilities management, and project implementation. Kim started their career in 2006 as an Assistant Hospitality Manager at Avenance Catering. Kim then worked at Compass Group from 2007 to 2010, holding roles such as Deputy General Manager and Operations Performance Manager. From 2010 to 2011, they served as a Facilities Manager at ISS Facility Services.
In 2011, Kim joined Herbert Smith Freehills and held various roles within the company. Kim started as an Office Services & Business Continuity Team Leader before becoming a Senior Operations Manager in 2015, responsible for managing office services, client services, and secretarial functions. In 2016, they were promoted to the Head of Office Operations Programmes, where they led the implementation of global office operations programs and drove process optimization. In 2022, they changed their job title to Head of Operational Excellence, Office Operations.
Throughout their career, Kim has demonstrated expertise in operational strategy, financial targets, project management, and driving operational efficiency. Kim has also shown strategic ownership of business continuity and travel management functions.
Kim Ashley-Smith attended West Moreton Anglican College from 1994 to 1999, where they obtained their High School Certificate. From 2000 to 2004, Kim studied at The University of Queensland and earned a Bachelor of Business degree with a focus on Hospitality Management, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Chinese. In terms of additional certifications, Kim obtained the Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner certification from Prosci in March 2022. Additionally, they acquired the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification, although the specific month and year of obtaining it are not provided.
