Dirk Goehring

Dirk Goehring has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. Dirk has held various leadership roles in different companies, including Director of Information Security at Herc Rentals and Director of Cybersecurity at Crowley. In these roles, they provided direction and thought leadership for cybersecurity initiatives, built talented teams, and developed adaptive architectures to enhance operational efficiency while ensuring security. Additionally, Dirk has worked as a Computer Security Incident Response Handler at Black Knight Financial Services, where they managed incident assessment and response engagements. Dirk also served as a Security Manager at Enterprise Integration and as a Security Consultant at FishNet Security, gaining expertise in areas such as digital investigations and incident response. Dirk's earlier experience includes managerial positions at Florida SouthWestern State College, Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners, The Community School of Naples, and WCI Communities, where they oversaw network and security operations. This comprehensive work history demonstrates Dirk's strong knowledge and expertise in cybersecurity and IT management.

Dirk Goehring earned a Master's degree in Digital Forensics from the University of Central Florida in 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management from Florida SouthWestern State College in 2010. In 2007, they obtained an Associate degree in Arts from Edison College. In terms of certifications, they received the ITIL Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2014, the SourceFire Certified Administrator (SFCP-AMP v4.4) certification from Sourcefire in 2013, the AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE) certification from AccessData in 2013, the CISSP certification from (ISC)² in 2015, and the Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification from GIAC in 2015. Additionally, they received a Cyber Security certification from the SANS Institute in 2015.
