Michael Kraus

Michael Kraus is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in real estate and commercial law. Currently serving as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Herc Rentals since September 2021, Michael is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial leases and managing a comprehensive commercial property insurance portfolio. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Assistant General Counsel at ASG Technologies from 2012, where responsibilities included negotiating commercial agreements and office leases for numerous locations. Michael's legal career began with private practice at the Law Office of Michael L. Kraus, focusing on lease negotiations and business advisory services, after serving as Corporate Counsel at ASG from 1999 to 2005, managing due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. Michael holds a JD from DePaul University College of Law and a BA in Political Science and Government from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
