Gavin Poole

Gavin Poole is an accomplished leader and advisor with extensive experience across various sectors including academia, innovation, and charity. Currently serving as an Independent Governor at the University of East London and the founding CEO of Here East, Poole has been instrumental in fostering collaboration between start-ups and established businesses on a world-leading innovation campus. Previously, Poole held significant roles such as Trustee at Scope and The Legacy List, as well as Executive Director and Strategy Director at the Centre for Social Justice, where policy development and social reform were key focuses. With a military background as a Senior Engineering Officer in the Royal Air Force, Poole has developed leadership and strategic skills complemented by advanced degrees from prestigious institutions including King’s College London and Cranfield School of Management.
