Stuart Crebbin has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors. Stuart began their career in law enforcement, working as a Police Constable for West Midlands Police from 1997 to 2007. During this time, they served in different roles and gained experience in response, proactive crime, and robbery units.

In 2007, Stuart transitioned to the field of fire and rescue services, joining Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service as a Firefighter. Stuart quickly progressed through the ranks, participating in the national High Potential Leadership Programme in 2009. Over the years, they held various operational and management positions within the organization, including roles such as Staff Officer, Fire Station Manager, and Operational Training Manager.

During their time at Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, Stuart was involved in several key initiatives. Stuart played an integral part in the development and delivery of the 2020 Vision Programme, which aimed to secure the long-term sustainability of the service through strategic changes. Stuart also led the Community Risk team, focusing on community safety, fire protection, and fire safety awareness in South Worcestershire.

Additionally, Stuart had the opportunity to work outside the fire and rescue service sector. Stuart was seconded to the Department for Communities and Local Government as a Staff Officer, where they supported the security operation for the 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games in London. Stuart assisted in implementing the National Coordination and Advisory Framework and coordinated national activities with the Fire and Rescue Service National Coordination Centre.

Stuart's work experience also includes a secondment to Warwickshire County Council, where they collaborated with Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service on Project Arrow. This project aimed to align policies, procedures, processes, resources, and best practices between the two fire authorities.

Most recently, Stuart has been working at the Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service as the Head of Community Risk. In this role, they are responsible for community safety and leading the delivery of an options appraisal for the future vision of fire control, forming part of an alliance between Shropshire and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Services.

Stuart Crebbin's education history begins in 1993 when they enrolled at Swansea University. Stuart studied Chemical & Analytical Science and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in 1996. After a gap in their education, Stuart returned to the academic path in 2012 and attended the University of Worcester. Stuart pursued a Diploma in Leadership and Management and completed their studies in 2014.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Stuart has obtained several certificates in various fields. In 2019, they earned a Diploma in Fire Engineering Design from the Institution of Fire Engineers. Two years prior, in 2017, they completed a Diploma in Fire Safety (Fire Inspectors) from Industry Qualifications and a certification in Fire Investigation from the Fire Service College. Stuart also holds several project management certifications, including Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) - Registered Practitioner from PEOPLECERT, obtained in 2015, and Managing Successful Projects (PRINCE2) - Registered Practitioner from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, obtained in 2014.

Stuart's professional certifications also include Incident Command Management - Silver from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM), obtained in 2013, and NEBOSH - National General Certificate from NEBOSH, obtained in the same year. Stuart has been recognized as a Full Member MIFireE by the Institution of Fire Engineers since 2014, and as a Full Member MCMI by the Chartered Management Institute since 2012. Lastly, Stuart completed the Incident Command Station Manager program at the Fire Service College in 2011.
