Laura Carotenuto

Laura Carotenuto has a diverse work experience in various roles within the field of human resources. Laura began their career as a Human Resources Supervisor at CommSoft from September 1997 to July 2000. Laura then worked as a Human Resources Manager at both Target Software and Target Analysis Group from July 2000 to November 2002.

In 2003, Laura joined Middlebury College, where they held multiple roles. Laura started as a Human Resources Generalist from March 2003 to January 2006. Laura then became the Manager of Employee Relations from February 2006 to June 2019. Their final role at Middlebury College was as the Assistant Vice President for Human Resources, Central Administration, where they served from July 2019 to June 2023. In this position, Laura was responsible for leading a transformational effort to grow an innovative and comprehensive human resources function tailored to meet the unique needs of Middlebury's non-academic functions.

Most recently, Laura joined Heritage Aviation in May 2023 as the Human Resources Director and their tenure with the company continues till present.

Laura Carotenuto earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut, where they attended from 1987 to 1991. Laura then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, graduating between 1993 and 1995. In addition to their formal education, Laura Carotenuto obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute in June 2006. Laura also acquired the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in December 2015.
