Tony Chalfant has extensive experience in the banking industry, with a focus on credit operations. Tony began their career in 1984 as a National Bank Examiner at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, where they worked until 1992. In 1993, they joined US Bank as a Senior Vice President, a role they held until 2005. At that time, they joined Puget Sound Bank as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer/Chief Credit Officer until its successful merger into Heritage Bank in January 2018. Since then, they have held various roles at Heritage Bank, including Senior Vice President, Regional Credit Officer from 2018 to 2019, Senior Vice President, Deputy Chief Credit Officer from 2019 to 2020, and currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer since July 2020.
Tony Chalfant obtained their Bachelor's degree in Finance from Washington State University from 1980 to 1984. Later, from 1994 to 1996, they attended the University of Washington, where they studied at the Pacific Coast Banking School.
