Steve Bloomer

Steve Bloomer has a diverse work experience in the field of medical physics and diagnostic imaging software. Steve currently holds the position of Head of Business UK at Hermes Medical Solutions since May 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a PET/SPECT Scientist at Siemens Healthineers from October 2018 to May 2020. From 1996 to 2018, they had multiple roles at Hermes Medical Solutions, including Sales and Technical Services Director and Customer Project Manager. Additionally, they co-founded and worked as a Senior Physicist at Procyon Instruments Limited from 1995 to 1998. Steve also worked as a Freelance Physics Consultant specializing in medical physics and diagnostic imaging software from 1994 to 1996. Earlier in their career, they worked at GE Medical Systems as a Senior Physicist and University of Leeds as an Astrophysicist.

Steve Bloomer earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in High Energy Astrophysics from the University of Leeds from 1986 to 1990. Prior to that, from 1983 to 1986, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree (1st Class Hons) in BSc Physics with Astrophysics from the same university. For their A-Levels, they attended King Edward VI College Stourbridge from 1981 to 1983, focusing on Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. Steve completed their high school education at Leasowes High School, Halesowen from 1978 to 1981, achieving 8 O-Levels with A grades.
