Imani Beckles, CMP

Imani Beckles, CMP, has over 7 years of experience in event planning and management. Imani began their career in 2014 with Spotlight Programs Board as the Special Events Director, where they aided in executing over 30 programs ranging from comedy shows, speaker series and high profile concerts. In 2015, they joined Georgia Municipal Association as an Exhibit Coordinator, and was promoted to Meeting & Events Planner and then Sr. Exhibits & Association Administrator. In 2021, they were hired by Decide DeKalb Development Authority as the Business Retention and Expansion Manager, and is currently employed by Hermeus as the Growth Manager.

Imani Beckles, CMP attended Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business from 2011 to 2015, where they studied Hospitality Administration/Management. Imani also obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA from Georgia State University in 2015, majoring in Hospitality Administration/Management. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Meeting Professional certification from the Events Industry Council.
