Jeff Kraft

Captain Jeff Kraft serves as the Special Operations Division Commander, which includes Aviation, K-9, Marine, Traffic and other specialty units within the Sheriff's Office. Captain Kraft joined the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office in 1991 after serving two and a half years with the New Jersey Department of Corrections and graduating from the law enforcement academy at Pasco - Hernando State College.He has experience as a deputy and detective, and has supervised or managed patrol, major case, special operations, and vice and narcotics units.Captain Kraft is a Certified Fraud Examiner and has served on the Sheriff’s Rapid Response Team, the Hernando County Economic Crime Council, and U.S.Secret Service and Internal Revenue Service task forces.
