Betty (Elizabeth) Ntentes is an experienced professional in the food service and hospitality industry, currently serving as the Catering and Kitchen Manager at Cousin’s Market since May 2020 and as a Manager at Hero Certified Burgers since June 2017. With a strong background in team management, food and labor cost control, purchasing and inventory management, and innovative menu planning, Betty has effectively led teams of up to 15 individuals in various roles, including Operations Manager at Nella Catering and Store Manager at Holt Renfrew. Betty holds a Culinary Arts Program degree from George Brown College and an Interior Design Diploma from Sheridan College.

The vision for Hero Certified Burgers was not born with the intention to reinvent the hamburger. As a matter of fact, it stemmed from our Founder’s search for an all-natural Angus burger with a real slice of cheese. Trained as a cheesemaker, John F. Lettieri, found it nearly impossible to find an Angus burger with real cheese, outside of high-end restaurants and hotels. That search for all natural, real food resulted in the birth of Hero Certified Burgers. Simply put, we wanted to source the best quality beef and ingredients for our burgers, ingredients that reflect our own personal philosophy of sustainability while respecting both the land and animal. For us, it’s not just about the food that we serve but how we bring it to the table. At Hero Certified Burgers, we only ever use on all-natural, fully-traceable 100% Canadian Angus beef raised range-fed without hormones or antibiotics. We do this because it tastes better, and it's better for you - with no chemicals, fillers or additives. We’re proud to announce our partnership with Beretta Farms as our exclusive Canadian Angus beef supplier. Partnering with Beretta Farms was a natural fit, allowing us to maintain the same attributes while increasing local production and attaching an incredible all Canadian story to our brand.
