Viraj Marathe

Viraj Marathe is an experienced professional in the field of technical management within the finance and banking sectors, currently serving as State Head - Technical at Hero Housing Finance since September 2025. Prior to this role, Viraj held positions at Aditya Birla Capital as Area Technical Manager and Technical Manager, focusing on risk assessment of credit proposals. Previous experience includes serving as Technical Manager at Kotak Mahindra Bank, where uniform processes for technical appraisals were developed, and as Senior Technical Officer at ICICI Bank, specializing in the valuation of immovable properties. Viraj started the career as a Technical Associate at Muthoot Homefin (India) Limited, conducting technical visits and preparing valuation reports. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Mumbai University and a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Government Polytechnic Ratnagiri.
